You don't watch Oprah much do you? Have you ever seen her guests? How many African American houses have you seen her go to? She doesn't get out there as much as you think. Watch her shows for a two week period and count the interaction that she has with the African American community compared to Caucasian society and note her guest roster. I think she's biased in her need for popularity and does the generosity play to keep from alienating other ethnic groups. There is ALWAYS an ulterior motive when a wealthy person goes out like that. True some benefit from the "gift" but more do not.

Oprah is not a racist. She is guilty of the same preoccupation of World Youth Vision and other Christian help funds for the poor in Africa. I don't mean to criticize what they do, but travel through Eastern Europe, Turkey, Russia and South America and there is plenty of poverty. People only helped Thailand because of its importance as a tourist destination but did nothing for Indonesia. Was it because it is a Muslim majority country?

I would have to disagree with your opinion. I don't think she has gotten where she is today by caring about only african american people. I would try and take a closer look, maybe you misunderstood or took something the wrong way. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful Holiday Season!!

She probably feels closer to her own race. Although, i have to say if a white person was only helping white children it would somehow look worse.
But then again, Africa has the poorest countries in the world so i guess they are in need of the most help.
