My favorite idea of Christmas is the sense of nostalgia it always brings. Even though life doesn't work that way anymore, it's nice to remember how much simpler everything was when I was a kid.

I personally do not celebrate Christmas. It seems to bring out both the best and the worst in people. Some people are in a jolly and generous mood. Then others are severely depressed. Even more are stressed to a greater degree than they are at other times.

Well on Christmas day my family use to get together and open gifts...Its a time to be together and one person got to pick the rate we opened them up he got to play Santa by getting each gift for everyone in turn.

I love the decorations. The christmas lights, the xmas tree and pretty wrapped presents underneath. Its kind of depressing when its all over.

sitting in the middle of the room with the drunk dad, the fighting siblings,the mother who is the human version of the grench, and my poor husband... and realizing there is nowhere i would rather be.
oh and all the pretty lights. so many colors....hhhmm.
