if your with BT give them a ring there may be a problem with line. The problem may even be with your computer its self, but i advise you to ring your provider and tell them the problem otherwise it might just keep happening

Here are the usual culprits.

First of all, make sure that the cable is nicely secured on the router and the back of your computer. Also check the light on the back of your computer where the network cable connects to it (RJ45) the light should be a solid green.

Next troubleshooting step is replace the cable if you can, and see if the problem went away?

If still having problems, unplug the router and wait 20 secs then plug the power back to it. Is the problem still there?

You might alway wanted to renew and refresh your ip address.

Go to run type, cmd and type ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/renew if the process persists. then....

Check your control panel device manager to see if there is any problem with the actual network card itself. If there is there will be a exclamation mark in yellow and that's a sign that you might need to reinstal the driver or replace the network card itself.

Good luck and keep me posted.

This could be a security issue depending on what type of lime wire you are running as lime wire is construed as spy ware on the pc you
will have to check your firewall to check and see if it is being allowed in your exceptions.

When posting question like this it always would be helpful to state connection type (DSL, cable, dial-up – hardwired or wireless) and hardware brand and model (XP Sp2, Linksys router model such and such or Westell modem – model #).
