What is a super power? If you define it as a Military status, then I would say not in the near future. Even though they have the population, the don't have the economy, technology, or smarts.

That being said; I think India's economy will rise as china's does, though not at the same pace. So they could be a Super Power, but probably not until well after China is.

why not it will but when Indian youth that also between 20 and35 age group come into politics then India will become super power because they will not be polluted ones like present politicians who are all old people. When the Indians leave laziness and dependency then we can achieve super power. when we learn the lesson 'doing something is greater than simply praying with lips movement'. when Indians think the religions or castes are only for living positively and healthyly , no religion or no caste is inferior or superior.
