I will miss these guys badly. I love the Astros. I live in San Antonio and they are the loves of my life. Can you believe the General Manager is even thinking of trading out Willie T.? Oh woe is me!! Thank goodness I still get to look forward to watching Biggio strut his stuff. Not to mention, they can't even think of getting rid of Berkman until 2010. And who would want to?!

Willie T is already on his way to Colorado... he's been traded along with pitchers Taylor Buchholz and Jason Hirsh. They got Jason Jennings in return....sure seems like a lot to give up. Let's hope they know what they're doing! Go Astros.

Pettite never did anything as an astro and springer is just an average middle reliever.
I don't think anybody is going to miss the two.

When Pettite is healthy he's a very good pitcher. "When".
Russ Springer sucks. He used to be on my hometeam and nobody misses him.
The only people in Houston who will miss Russ Springer are the opposing batters.
And Tavarez has been traded to Colorado for Jason Jennings. Let the homerun barrage begin.

I'm not an Astros fan but I can feel your pain. Jason Jennings is not close to being a replacement for Pettitte; especially at the price they paid to acquire him. Its really unfortunate the team lost Pettitte to the Yankees over a difference of only $2 mil. And to the person who said Pettitte never did anything with the Astros, you must have missed his 17 win season in '05 and 14 wins in '06. Behind Oswalt, he's about as consistent as they come.

Pettite is too fragile. I was glad when the Los Angeles Angels got Springer off of their payroll. He just took up space.
