Yeah, it did. I was just thinking about that the other day. Isn't it weird when you all of a sudden think about retarded crap and then it comes up somewhere else?

I think it did because it stopped being funny. Playing a hard working class family not being able to pay the bills or feed the kids was what the show was about and when they won the money it got boring and they didn't know what to write about I guess, so they made it a dream sequence. Oh well, I miss that show! I watch the reruns on Nick At Night too!

I feel it did.The appealing part of the show was the fact that the Conner family had bills, problems, and struggles like us common folk. The episodes after the family won the lottery are not as good.

yeah, especially how they won all that money and they didn't move to another house, they just partially fixed up the one the had been living in.
But when a sitcom is on the air for so long, they run out of ideas and the lottery story was probably the best they could think of...

Yeah but it got dumb with all the lesbian jokes before that. Ok their friend was gay can we just move on. She was milking the gay vote for ratings! Whatever. But yeah, that show took a dump and it was only carried by the child actors.Especially that Gilbert girl. She was a comic genius.

yeah but they never actually won the lottery i dont think did they? i think that it did ruin the show cause they weren't poor white folks and now they weren't able to make their normal jokes they used to. the relationship to the audience changed. most couldn't relate to it.
