I'd definitely avoid the electronic learning toys - aren't big brothers meant to be for fun?
Spending £80-£100 on one thing is a bit risky, unless you know it's something specific that she wants. Heelys are cool and cost around that amount - don't know if their website can still get them to you for Christmas though. If that interests you, you'll find a few resolved answers in Toys about them, look there for more info.
What else is she into? Here's a few suggestions.
Arts and Crafts - Floam, Hama
Soft Toys - Bean World, Ugly Doll
Dolls - Bratz or if she's into that sort of thing, buy a good quality traditional doll.
Construction Toys - K'Nex, Geomag, Zoobs
Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hi
I would suggest that you buy her something that would really please her during Christmas as well as during the whole year. So it better be something worthwhile. Not the electronic games which are quite costly and fragile. I think that a six year old child should firmly believe in Santa and the whole story. This is the period for them to enjoy - so I think that a Barbie with the house stuff could be of some interest to her.
Merry Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas as well :)
In my opinion your sister would definitely like something a bit more fun to do other then a learning toy, especially at her age. I would of been insulted if my older brother had bought me a learning toy and he knew it lol. But if you really want to get your sister something nice, and you really know what cartoons she likes then go into the stores and find some sort of toy that is close to what she likes.
For example if she collects barbie dolls (I had hundreds of barbies at that age) then go and buy her one of the harder-to-find dolls that you are sure she doesn't have.
Things like that :)

I bought my toys online from ToysRUs this year. They had a handy thing where you plug in the child's age and gender and they suggest a bunch of ideas based on that.
