We are currently the world's only superpower, but I suspect we'll be joined by China in that role sometime within the next decade or so.

We cannot escape the global interests that come with being a superpower, and it is ridiculous to suggest we can ever isolate ourselves from the rest of the world.

However I believe we should seek ways to protect our own interests first. We should take the need for our security seriously--if that involves global projection of our power we should hit hard, hit fast and get out as quickly as possible.

We need strong military forces as long as there are threats to our security.

Our Constitution is a world-recognized model in the freedom it provides. We should modify it as little as possible and only when needed to improve our national security.

I believe we need to adopt the Metric System to align us better with the rest of the world, but also to give us a more efficient system of measurements.

We need to expend dollars and energy to rebuild our badly worn infrastructure--I speak of railroads, highways and our cities--to not only match what other countries have done but also to greatly improve the lives of our own citizens.

We also need to reform taxes and to better and more equitably provide for health care and education for our citizens, preferably by some method other than socialism. I suggest this be done not by raising taxes but by finding ways to lower or eliminate costs.

I am 65 years old. I will vote in every election in which I am eligible and will support candidates who support goals I support. I have served in military duties and have been a social worker. I will support any political entity that advocates things I advocate.

I am not into comedy or tragedy, so I think some light combination of romantic melodrama would do. What am I willing to do to achieve it?
I am willing to pay my ticket at the box office naturally, I am not the snicking in the back door type.

The stewardship of Iraq with a timeline ending somewhere around 2020. The bane of megalomaniacs and *****-slapper of the faulty UN. Oh, wait, we're already doing that...ok well, how about we shift strategies to full commitment to see these things through. Lets go for victory in the mideast over a very long realistic time table.
A balanced budget to see our commitments through.

Re-up.

to stay the hell out of everyones countries and businesses! they should worry more about fixing their own country than other peoples countries. Like homelessness, poverty, drugs, diseases. I think america needs to make their own country great before they try to fix others. war in iraq is wrong, leave them alone. i'm willing to become president of america to fix all the gonzo that's wrong with it. i would still keep a strong military if anything happens.

The preeminent provider of freedom and justice in the world-- much like we've always been.

And I'd do anything necessary to ensure America is able to grant these things.
