How old are you? I'm now 46, 5' 11'', and up until I was 39 I was very thin indeed, and weighed about 53 kilos. Then I got married, and since then have slowly but steadily put on weight, mainly around the stomach and waist, and this despite not having really increased the amount I eat or drink (in fact my wife is a lousy cook and a vegetarian!!). Friends attribute my weight increase to my state of mind, and the fact that I'm now much more settled that I was when I was single.
I now weigh 78 kilos. I walk a hell of a lot, and play tennis in the summer, but I can't lose weight. I don't have time to go to a gym, but I do sit-ups etc., albeit without much success.
I've seen various products (i.e., pills, capsules) advertised on tv that seem to be miraculous, but I think the only way of effectively losing your spare tyre (or 'love handles') is to work out regularly at a gym. How do you think actors and models are able to put on and take off weight so easily? And remember that most guys over 40 start to get a bit of a beer gut (especially family types like me), and that only regular exercise and workouts can be of much lasting benefit.

Well, if you naturally had a waist and it has now gotten bulky from weight gain, you simply need to drop some weight.
But for those that don't naturally have a defined waist, getting one is not so easy. No matter how much weight they lose, they still have the shape of a tree trunk. Alas, that describes me.

this makes you sweat and burn a lot of fat.
