It just sounds funny to say "alien kidnapping" I think "kidnap" is an older term that came from slang, like "rape" vs "sexual assault". Child abduction and kidnapping are the same thing.

The words have comparable meanings. the only real distinction wherein potential is that kidnapping is a criminal term that describes a criminal act. Abduction isn't unavoidably a criminal offense.

They are the same thing. Ive even seen it in a movie where this girl says "so this is a kidnapping right?" Then in the tape she says "father i have been abducted" so yes the same thing!

The only difference is when there is supposed to be aliens involved, then its abduction only. Otherwise it can be called either one.
