It's not because they are black ... if they were well-dressed and carried themselves well, they would not be followed around. I say this only because I've seen whites followed around when they were wearing baggy (hip hop style) jeans, wearing sunglasses indoors, and had a scruffy beard. It's all in the way the package is wrapped and one presents themselves. (I'm not saying it is justified ... you can't judge a book by its cover, but that's the way people are, unfortunately.)

because statistically the black folk steal much more then other races do.Its a fact.such as murders. over 170 black men have been killed by other black men this year in Jacksonville fl. where i live. whites not but a few. have been killed. sorry to tell you. I know you don't wont to hear this. and will say that anyone who thinks that blacks steal more then others or racist but its simply a fact.allmost half the people in jail in the States or black. but blacks make up only 12% of the population? why is this? Its not because there baggy pants fall down while there running away and there caught quicker. its because they do more of the crime per population.Peace. hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Not true.

I work in retail, and we follow everyone who is very suspicious, no matter what the color.

But in one occasion, a black girl with her group friends decided to push my old co worker and she was on the floor and the black girls just laughed. They also blurted out: "Are you scared now?"

The thing is, if you're not going to steal anything, then don't try to look suspicious, stop looking or glaring at the employees coz thats a sign you're going to do something, and its the employees job to watch people like that.

And plus, if you get mad when employees watch you, then that's your thing because they are just doing their job.

Do they really? All blacks? Or just young ones... Don't teens of all races get watched more carefully and followed around?
I guess people go by past experiences... so sometimes they get it wrong.

I get watched sometimes.
But they can look all they like cause they haven't got anything in any of those stores that I would be willing to go to jail for!
By the way...I'm white.

Because of prejudice. The same thing nowadays happens to Arabs or Muslims in general, as if they were all potential terrorists. Just prejudice.
