Why wont he leave me alone? Any thoughts? He is the one who left. He will call and want to talk to me and not the children. Is this sick or what? Any good advice? I really feel sorry for his wife.

Does he make you sick? That is what it sounds like. Even though your marriage did not work out, if there is nothing stopping you from being friends then that is great considering there are children involved. That is the big picture right there. If you didn't have kids then tell him to take a hike, but he is their father and as much as you don't like him it is very important that they have a good relationship with him--unless he is beating them or something.If he is not a bad guy then try and be mature and forgive him for leaving...its one of those things that aren't much fun in life but you got to deal with it as best you can. You did not mention what he wanted to talk to you about. I think it is dirty for him to not talk to his kids, most men use them for a excuse to call. Not sick, stupid is what it is. Why feel sorry for his wife, did he probably not leave you for her? Best way to solve that problem is Do Not Answer The Phone, or let all calls go to answer machine, then invite his new wife over and let hear them.

Of course and it's sick. In my country there is a saying "when i have it i don't want it and when i lose it i cant do with out it". This suits perfectly to you. Here is what I think: he doesn't love you. He just wants to refresh his memory and remember the old times. OR he just fed up his wife and he is seeking for adventures (remember he did it to you too) OR he is really fed love you and comparing you with his wife he finds you better and he is regret.
My suggestion is if his wife was the reason he divorced you and if he doesn't have any kids with her and,the most important,if you love him, then go ahead.

I have been there. I will be blunt. He is getting some sort of "payoff" in calling you and you are giving it to him. Only you can figure out what that is.
Once I accepted this in myself, figured out what he was gaining by calling me, I put a stop to it.
He had to know that I was "so over him"
If you REALLY feel sorry for his new wife, then you will put a stop to this for her, you and YOUR kids:)
Be the mature one, knock him out of the ball park with your power to reject him and his immature way now! :)

I think sometimes people feel they have a permanent thing with their spouse , other than the children, like you should and will always be there to fall back on. Don't encourage him to talk when he calls. If he doesn't want to speak to the children say goodbye.

Some people are never happy with what they have. You could give them the best woman or man on the planet and they would piss it away chasing some skank ho (not implying that you or his wife are ho's). I would set him up to let his wife see his true colors.

Then dont speak to him when he calls. You're feeling flattered and confused. But you can freely tell him that he's now married to another. And She's the one who needs his attention.

no, just tell him that he has a wife, he cannot have his cake and eat it to, if his wife does not like to talk to him like you did when you were together, that's his problem now and not you're, its time for you to move on, a line has to be drawn.
