Try to save as much space as possible.
First, if you don't send your PC to hibernate (or if you don't even know what this is), go to Start-->Control Panel
As I have a German Windows, your Icons might be named similarly, but I hope I'm clear enough.
In the control panel, on the left there is an option to change to the classic control panel. Click on that and you should see a lot of icons.

Double klick on Energy options. There is a "Hibernation" tab. Click on it and uncheck the hibernation option.

Now open up Internet Explorer.
Go to "Tools-->Internet Options". There is a section for Temporary Internet files. Click on settings. In the new window there is a number, how much space IE may use to store websites temporarily.
Reduce this number to about 20 MB.
Klick OK and then in the "old" dialogue, choose to delete these temporary files.

Now open up Explorer.
Go to "Tools-->Folder Settings". Click on the 2nd tab ("View").
Uncheck the option to hide protected system files.
Nearly at the end of that list is the option to "Show all files" - even those that are hidden.

Now be very carefully, and only delete, what I tell you here, otherwise, you will damage your windows!

Go to "My Computer", then open the C: drive and open "Documents and Settings". There is a folder called like your Username (or if you bought your PC ready made its something like "Owner" or something). Open it.

There is a Folder called "Local Settings". In it, there is a folder called "Temp". Open it and delete everything in that folder. If Windows complains, a few files cannot be deleted, this is OK. Just skip them.

Now go back to "My Computer" and open C: again.
Go to "Windows".
If you kept your Windows up to date, there should be a lot of folders with a Dollar sign $ at the beginning.
Delete all Folders with the Dollar sign. Do *not* delete anything else!!!

Now you should have enough space.

Again, click on "Tools-->Folder options" and reset your optins:
Check again to hide protected system files, and near the end choose to hide hidden files again.

That Pop up message is a critical warning! Your hard drive is almost full. Try to free up some space on your hard drive by performing disk clean up.

Click Start >> All programs >> Accessories >> system tools >> disk clean up.

you will see a window. Check all the checkbox and press OK.
It will delete files that are no longer needed.

downloaded program files
temporary internet files
office setup files
recycle bin
temp file
etc...

goodluck!

I think it's time to get a new computer with more hard drive space!
