In truth, there is nothing that science theories and formulas cannot explain, theoretically speaking. The problem lies in how accurate the explanation is given our current understanding of the principles behind what we seek to explain. While we can seek to explain everything with science, we may shortly be forced to throw out the theories in light of a new discovery which makes nonsense of our old ideas. Examples of things which scientists admit they have not completely explained or may have faulty theories -- the ultimate fate of the universe, what causes gravity, what holds atoms together, why there seems to be more mass in the universe than what we can observe, how many other dimensions there are beyond the three that we can see, etc.
Of course, what we see as unexplained or inadequately explained science sometimes seems to come in conflict with faith, and that's an issue I'd rather not answer here. I would, however, advise you not to seek answers to questions you'd rather not know and leave to mystery. Sometimes, for some people, what science explains and how takes a lot of the joys out of the mysteries of life.

Necessary to distinguish three categories of ignorance.
1. Things that we don't know now, but expect to figure out sometime or other. Examples: the exact path of evolution of H. sapiens; how life began.
2. Things that we don't know now, but could in principle be known if we could do huge eperiments. Example: really high energy physics, to demonstrate unification theories.
3. Things that are unknowable in principle: what there was "before" the big bang (if such a concept is even meaningful, which it probably isn't); whether god designed the initial rules of the universe, and if so, how.

There are no such things, you only believe there are because human science has not encompassed them yet.
Emphasis on yet.
