Interesting question. Shadows are a place to hide. Secure. Safe. I tend to condemn myself to the the sunlight. Far more exposed and dangerous. But much more satisfying.

I do not know how to socialize properly it's some kind of genetic thing and it hurts being alone but rejection hurts more, so ya I have condemned myself to the shadows

living in the shadows isn't a condemnation. the moon lights my way and guides my path, just as the sun does for day dwellers. there is light in the darkness too.

No. What for? It's all about living in the moment and how we choose to do so. You never know when you might come to regret tomorrow that you lived in the shadows today. There may be no tomorrow. :)
