It shouldn't be - I've had a group of friends that might not be around all the time, but we've all been friends for almost 7 years. And another fellow I know who I've been friends with since the beginning of high school - almost 20 years ago. So while some friendships may come and go,

Some can last a lifetime - if you know where to look...

My wife and I have been best friends for 7 years this New Year's Eve...

If I understand the Question I would think no it's never to much to ask or at least hope for for me my biggest fear is rejection and being shy but at least you don't seem to have that problem go ask the person and if he/she says no then at least you can act as a friend do stuff and help the person out.

good luck.

When you finish all schooling friends are very rare. you mostly have aquaintences. If you do still have friends that you talk to every day and gossip with, sleep overs. ect ect. It'ss either your spouse or you are a Loser which is ok. Me personally have to many goals and have no time for intimate friendships. aquaintences are perfect for me. There less annoying.

friendship requires you to open yourself up. so many people taking advantage of others its tough to trust. feel free to be friendly with people but only expect to have a handful of real friends.I'd say keep the ones you've got

for some people it just seems to be.

so, sometimes it is too much to ask, i guess. the people who make it hard to be friends are the ones losing out, so don't feel bad.

No, it's not. It's just a lot of people don't know how to be a friend, and we should be more selective in who we call "friend."
