In California Time...Western...?
Please answer. I think it's 4:30 but, it's so confusing! Thanks.

Christian,

ET=Eastern time because it's the time on the East Coast and it is three hours later than the time in California, what is considered Pacific Time (=PT) (aka: what some people consider western time, but that's not really a term). As the person above me mentioned, there is Eastern Time, Mountain Time, Central Time and Pacific Time.

so if you know the time in Cali, just add three hours to get ET

or

if you know the ET, just subtract three hours to get PT (aka: Cali time)

ET is eastern time. pacific is California time. so if it's 7:30 pm ET it's 4:30 pm pacific. 5:30 pm mountain time and 6:30 pm central time

To remember think:
The sun rises in the east so it hits the east coast first (ET) then (3 hours later) the west coast, Pacific Ocean (PT).
