Depends on how active she is. Kids really just go through phases. My ten month old eats more than my 3 year old. - honestly... But he is also already crawling on his hands and feet (not knees but feet) and trying really hard to keep up with his big brother all day. It takes more energy for him to get across the room than it does some one who can walk. Some days they will eat 4 bites all day for almost a week and I think they are going to starve and try to force them, but then the next week they are eating everything in site. Also if you are feeding her new foods she probably isn't as hungry as much as just wanting to try something. Seems like you can pretty much control her portions by how much you give her. When you think she has had enough take her to a room where there is no food and see if she will play. If she is not really hungry then she will not be wanting the food unless it is there in front of her. good luck

If your daughter's weight is right for her height, don't worry about it, she needs the food.
I'd suggest, as a general guide, get your daughter in to the habit of eating a wide variety of foods, meat, fish (be VERY careful to get all the bones out), fruit, dairy, veg, nuts and the like. (Obviously, don't push foods she can't yet chew or digest.) If there's one thing I hate seeing, it's adults eating a balanced, healthy meal, and the little kids being fed chips, or some similar sort of junk food. The little ones need their proteins, vitamins & minerals even more than adults, so that they can grow strong & tall, and so that their brains can grow.

Dont !

A big appetite is not a problem. Just make sure its good healthy food your feeding her. Under eating would be a concern ... but a good strong appetite is nothing to 'control'

hi, my 8 month previous daughter has additionally stopped eating. She hasn't eaten on condition that final Sunday (she is a twin and her brother maintains to eat no situation). I spoke of as my physician to ask if I ought to hold her in and that they stated "no" as long as she is luckily taking formula and does not look ill or unwell in any opposite direction then no situation. The nurse did advise that I withold the bottle, yet that isn't artwork as she will become so distressed that there is not any way i gets her to eat, if she is over hungry I would desire to grant her some bottle previously I feed her besides, so unlikely to attempt this. I in simple terms intend to stay calm and proceed to attempt for yet another few days and if no progression subsequent week i will take her to the physician besides for a verify up. wish your toddler starts off eating quickly, as i comprehend how stressful it incredibly is to be dealing with this. i will provide help to recognize if i hit upon a answer and that i could be grateful in case you do an analogous. all and sundry else, can everyone who has experienced an analogous element advise the type you all started your toddler eating back, or will we in simple terms would desire to attend it out?

As long as she's eating healthy (rice cereal, veggies, fruits, Gerber snacks, formula or breast milk) and it's not all junk (I'm assuming she's still on baby food which most of it is very healthy) let the kid eat! She's probably going through a growth spurt (babies usually triple or quadruple their birth weight by their 1st birthday) and needs the additional calories.

let her eat :) At that age, as long as you are feeding the right foods, you wont do her harm. Make sure she is eating balanced meals though... and if she starts to vomit after meals, its because shes overeating and doesnt understand her bodies "stop, you're full!" message yet.
