First of all there is no harm done in celebrating this holiday with her. She probably needs the companionship and likes to have someone to talk to. Contrary to what people think, Xmas has become a cultural holiday rather than a religious one. It is so commercialized that people of all religious backgrounds like to celebrate it too over the years.

Xmas is simple. Decorations are put up in the house as well as some people put out twinkling lights outside their home for people to see at night. (I am sure you have observed this by now.) People like to watch xmas movies about Santa Clause. (The legendary saint that brought gifts to children once a year.) They also exchange gifts with eachother in the spirit of this saint. There is no real logic behind it but at the ending of the year when the weather is nice and wintery, people like to celebrate the things that they have earned and also the many blessings brought to their family.

So in short, to celebrate with your friend, buy her a special gift that you know will make her happy. Wrap it up in nice paper and ribbon and give it to her on xmas day. Also you may wish to help her prepare xmas dinner as it is customary to have turkey and other goodies (similar to Thanksgiving food). The best way to celebrate is to spend it with family, friends, and neighbors.

XMas actually means 'Satan' in Latin. The reasons Christians have the star is because it's actually Satan's symbol. But mostly they do it by putting the stars around the room and lighting the candles after.

my instant relations exchanges presents after we go back from middle of the night mass, so technicall you need to say it truly is Christmas morning. we've a protracted vacation and rejoice christmas lower back on December 12 so for the duration of that aspect we visit kinfolk and take presents for them, or they arrive to be certain us and we provide them their presents To contact upon someone's' remark: till those days i presumed xmas replaced into irrelevant because it "exed out" Christ in Christmas. yet then I study the heritage about the note xmas and positioned that the "X" did recommend Christ yet from historic circumstances.

You should buy her a gift and wrap it and put it under the tree. If that feels good buy somebody else a gift. On Christmas morning you open them! Merry Christmas!
