If you do look fat in something do you really think that we are going to say "Oh yeah the seams are about to burst" And do you really want to know? It just seems like a conflict waiting to happen.

I ask these questions because I really want to know if a certain pair of jeans / dress / whatever does or does not look good on me - simple "do I need to change my outfit or not" - basically because we have all seen women in public that should NOT have worn whatever outfit out into public, and you know she can't possibly know she looks THAT bad - so what if I'm one of those women that look that bad and I need to know it - just answer honestly _ unless you have a snotty uppity whiny ***** of a girlfriend who just wants someone to tell her she looks good all the time

I personally want to know the truth. If I own a pair of "fat" jeans, I will get rid of them. All of the girls know exactly what I'm talking about too. If we look good in our jeans, then we want to hear it. Most women want to know, but at the same time, you have to say it with ease.

We like to have someone tell us that we look good. No, we don't really want to hear you say, yeah, you're fat. We want you to say, no, honey, you're absolutely beautiful and I love your body. For some of us that's the only way we can get you to say that.

We say "does this make me look fat" so you'll say yes, so then we can be pissed off at you. In fact, we are usually already mad when we go for that question, we're just looking for an excuse to yell at you.
