We are getting divorced, and she keeps threatening to take my 2 boys even though we agreed that she would take my daughter, and I would take the boys. I have had all 3 for about 80% of the past 2 years we've been seperated.

If you have a stable job & can prove a good source of income, food, shelter & well being for the children, you have a very good chance of keeping them. The courts are leaning more and more towards letting the fathers keep their children.

my anwser to your question is this stand firmly on your own two feet and defend those kids to the fullest because they sre little ok,and the next thing that i would do if i was you is get some kindd of papers fixed up stateing that these kids live with you and that you are the one takeing care of them,because odds could change at any given time all it takes is a court room with all the wrong people in it,then before you know it your the one paying child support for the kids your already taken care of and that are liveing with you,see in todays world its really hard on a guy trying to do whats right for him self and his kids but the legal system just doesnt see that all they see is the womans side if you know what i mean so just make sure you take every precaution to protect your self and your kids before its to late ok,well i dont know if i was much help or not but i hope so.good luck

You have all the rights. Can you prove that you have all 3 for 80% of the time? Start writing things down. Like when they are there. Does she threaten you on the phone(tape it), does she threaten you in person(tape it, they have mini recorders that fit in your pocket and are voice active). What's your income like and benefits? Do you have a lawyer? If not get one and tell him everything. You can win. Good luck.

My opinion is, if you're a good, decent father, she's threatening you to get a rise. Be the better person, and for your children, ignore her. Be kind but don't bend over backward. Like a child, she may be testing your boundaries.
Appear in court if thats where she takes you. Be honest and gracious. Whatever happens will of happened for a purpose. I believe in Karma. She'll get hers.

The threat sounds just like that a "threat". If you have raised your 3 kids for most of the 2 years, do you really think she could handle having them full time? Although courts rule in favor of the mother often, it is going to look good to the judge that the kids have been with you. If she wants to get nasty, get nasty right back at her. I know its bad, especially for the kids, but you need to do whats right for them. Good luck to you

i'm going to say something no woman would ever tell you ,you can raise children with just one parent ,but when it comes to boys a woman can teach them everything they no from sports life education ,respect ,honesty . BUT, the one thing no woman can teach her son to be a man, and especially being an african american male in this cold , cold world . this can only from another man.As, much as we want to beleive we ccan do this there will always be a smaal part missing. So, tell her to stop using the children as pawns in her game ,THEY will be the ones top pay the price.

it is not significant why she walked out till you have been abusing them. in case you weren't and did some thing stupid like cheated, she would be mad, yet so some distance as your babies flow, that would not exchange who you're as a father. i don't understand the area, yet once you have not got any theory on the whereabouts of your babies, call a criminal expert. regularly, if she left and you recognize a thank you to stipulate your babies or to talk to them, then she's at fault. babies could desire to have general and persevering with touch with the two dad and mom and a decide won't think of too fairly of her to easily get rid of them from the domicile...till abuse or drugs are in touch. Get a criminal expert, father's advocacy group, or a criminal aide. combat on your babies! They need to have the two dad and mom of their lives!
