my husband and I are trying to have a baby and I always have my period every month, but they are always about 5 days later than the last month. My last period was the 3rd of november to about the 9th. so this month I should of started about the 8th. around the 7th I started some light spotting and thought that my period had arrived, but on the 9th no period came and the spotting stopped completely. so I took a pregnancy test on the 12th cause this has never happened before, but the pg test was negative. so I don't know what to do. I haven't had any symptoms of my period. and the only pg symptoms ive had are nausea, and this. but when i eat my nausea goes away and comes back later. is that how it works? i'm not sure when symptoms should start if I am pg? could I still be pg even though the test was negative? should I go take a blood test? any help or detailed info would be great thanks

some people don't produce enough hormone to see it in a home pregnancy test, so you should go to your doctor about it. Spotting could be a sign of implantation. get it checked out. good luck!

I would suggest you go to the clinic and get a blood test done, because a blood test can be more confirming, than a urine test. However, I would also have to say that it's all psychological, too. In your mind, you may be wanting this baby so bad, that it's affecting your cycles. This does happen.
I experienced this, too, and I found that if I didn't 'try so hard' to have a baby, and just let nature take its course, without putting too much thought into it, like counting the days between periods, and numbering when you'll ovulate, etc, just have fun 'making the baby' and don't spend so much time doing the math part!!
Go get some blood work done, to confirm your symptoms, and if it still comes back negative, then keep doing what you're doing and don't think about it so much. It will happen, in due time...

You should go to a doctor and have them do a test - blood / urine to check for the hormones and to make sure that it is not an ectopic or to see that it is a viable pregnancy.

I would go with the blood test to be sure, they can tell you right away, usually the same day.. and then you wont have to aggonize over it. Good luck!
