People have talent; some like to be on stage. Acting is an art. To be recognized for that is great.
But to be stalked; have crazy people around you all the time...must suck
Yea they have money, that's great, but no private life...
There is always someone in the media trying to say something negative about your character; rumors...
I honestly think you have to be a strong person to be a celebrity

*baubles* that's definitely a good point; i guess I never really look at it like that.
I was just thinking about the people in it for the Art of it. They are passionate about what they do. I know a lot of artists that influence my life for the better; I'm sure their just not in it for the Fame

Of course people feel sorry for celebrities, at first. When they seem innocent, it's easier. But then you get jaded and realize that the majority of celebrities are in the tabloids because they WANT to be in them. Celebrities have enough money that they can go places without being bothered, keep their personal lives secret, etc. Look at all the celebs who are NEVER in the tabloids. Have you ever noticed how it's always the same people in the tabloids? TomKat, Brangelina, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, etc., etc.? It's when people clean up their acts that the tabloids no longer pay attention. It's cuz they're no longer paid to. Notice how Ben Affleck disappeared from the tabloids once he became a real actor again? Once he cleaned up his act and split from J.Lo? Really and truely, stars have it better than we are made to think they do.
In all reality, it's hard to trust people as a 'regular' person too. And quite frankly, it's our own fault for encouraging the paparrazzi, because if there wasn't a market, they wouldn't be doing it.

I know, I feel really sorry for them too. I mean, I think some celebrities do encourage fame, but there are much more who don't. People say that the price of fame comes with the job, but I don't think that's true. I have a feeling like people who say that have never followed anything with true passion. Just because you love something, doesn't mean that you have to love and accept the price that comes with it. I mean, imagine doing something that you love more than anything in the world, and you've got people like the paparazzi who won't leave you alone, when all you want to do is what you love. Imagine if we had the paparazzi following our doctors around? I'm sure that wouldn't fly with anybody, because doctors are just trying to do their job to the best of their ability and paparazzi are just getting in the way. It's the same with actors, musicians, and everybody else.

I feel sorry for them, at times
but I want the fame, I'll be honest.
Its for something I live for and am passionate about,
it just comes with the territory.
I would love to make a documentary on Africa or on the depression using artists that have proven themselves over time to be skilled. But you cant use such artists if you dont have a reputation of putting out excellent work.
That's the number 1 perk I want from fame, the connections.
what artists have inspired you Ursula? for me its Angelina Jolie, Lucille ball, Whoppi Goldberg, Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg. LOL, crazy mix I know.

Well I grew up with celebrities kids and one of them always seemed to have a shy complex. And neither spoke of their fathers career. You are correct in the trust factor, privacy and even guilt. It is a very complex thing. People want to have families and sign up for that too. But its never really what we expect it to be. Right?

I agree, especially if they are very popular.. It must be a pain having someone up a tree trying to get a photo of you. Or the fact that everyone knows you when or if you can walk down the street. And you would have to have security for your family. No I would not like it one little bit thank you very much...

Yes, I do... true, they know what happens when you gain fame, but why should that deter anyone from a dream? I especially feel sorry for the ones that let the media bring them down, relationship wise, eating disorders, etc.

I feel sorry for the female celebrities. Poor things have been starving for years. Must be miserable life having to go without a proper meal.
I feel sorry for the male celebrities having to sleep with those anorexic, bulimic skin & bone female celebreties.

I agree with you 100%. I'm friends with a famous person, and he's sad and lonely even when surrounded by people who adore him because they either want something from him, or just want to be photographed with him. And they have NO privacy

No, I don't feel sorry for them. They're stupid. I mean they have all this money and have everything they could ever want. But instead of helping others out they save up their money and keep it to buy more clothes that they don't need, and buy food for extravagant and worthless parties.
