I've been reported several times for "chatting" when I answer a question in a personal way, but people write horrible, biased, racist, nasty things everyday, and their questions stay on. (Even when they cuss and call people names!) I would welcome email correspondence, but most people do not have email listed.

When you email from "Answers" your address isn't given out!

If I'm not making enemies, I'm not doing my job. I'm a sarcastic "witch" with a biting tongue, but I believe in peace, love and tolerance if you give me a chance.

yeah, i agree...i got reported when i asked for a freakin dessert idea for thanksgiving...someone asked why not pumpkin pie and i explained in the extra details why not the pumpkin pie and why i needed an alternative. i couldn't believe it and you are certainly right regarding the racist and biased things people write. somebody in society and culture wrote a few days ago that she wanted to 'kill' all mixed children and inter-racial couples. that's just so pleasant `eh.

Because some people are jerks. These are usually small people who feel inferior and feel good about themselves by trying to cause others misery. I too was reported for a comment I made to a hugely racist diatribe, had my response deleted and the question remained. Just ignore them, they are not worth getting upset over.

join the club,, I get that a lot too, and got a series of nasty threatening eamils from net warrior Sean! He even accussed me of reporting him, and I have yet to report people, then he like the coward he is, changes his email to where no reply can be made. Its silly to report others, theres no wittness protection or bonus points for doing so, if you dont like a q or a then skip it, much easier then saying you stand for free speech but reporting those who disagree wtih you

People do write horrible things. Do you want those people to have your email address? Most people don't allow email, and it probably doesn't occur to them to use it. There should be a yahoo rant, where people can answer personal questions (Does he love me!?) and "chat".
