Ahhhh, an opportunity for sociological theorizing and rampant gender stereotyping, how can I resist?
The whole "World Without Men" thing is a product of post 60's women's lib thought. Women these days are accepting a different role in society, being career-women and in some cases, the primary breadwinner for their household. This creates an atmosphere where women have a desire to prove themselves independent. So, when this kind of question comes up, women make the statement "We don't need men, we are independent and self supporting." Saying that life would be better without men at all is just a humorous overstatement found in numerous sitcoms. But I ask you this ladies: Who's going to open jars for you?
When you ask the same question of men you will never get the same response. We have no need to prove our independence, because male independence is assumed, we don't need to earn it.
Digging deeper into the societal subconcious, there may also be a homophobic aspect to the different responses. Lesbianism (or at least lesbian experimentation) is pretty well accepted and encouraged these days, so women can say that an all-female world would be fine and no one (especially men) will argue. Contrarily, trying to purport an all-male world (or even admit that you went to an all-male school) is like painting a giant pink triangle on yourself.

Women don't really want to get rid of men, I mean if we did we would all be gay right? In the first question the women who answered were just blowing off some steam. I don't know if you've noticed - but men control everything. With the exception of a very few remote places, all the societies on this planet are patriarchal & although most women don't (or can't) do anything about this they still find it very frustrating. Most of the violence perpetrated against women is at the hands of men & that's a serious reality. I work nights & whenever I tell someone what time I get off work (man or woman) they always ask "aren't you afraid that something will happen to you"? I don't think that their concerned that a wild group of PTA Moms are going to kick my a*s & steal my ride.
I think that women will continue to have just a bit of resentment towards men until we live in a society where we are truly treated as equals. Compare it to this situation, you & your co-workers make fun of your boss right (when she/he isn't around of course)? You do it to deal with any frustration your feeling, but it's all in good fun. Now, if you heard your boss making fun of you how would you react? Sadly enough it's pretty much the same thing, the same human emotions are involved in both scenarios. So don't take it personal, I'm sure the women in your life who love you would be very sad if there was no you.

i definitely dont want to get rid of all men. many of the women i know are far too gossipy and quick to stab other women in the back. there is good and bad in both sexes. for anyone to make a statement like "get rid of all the men" is absurd.

Don't know. I would love it if my man could try having menstruation, cramps, babies and of course menopause. They couldn't handle it! Trust me...women are much more tolerant and loving! That's why we should all be running for positions in government!

Well.. just goes to show that you can't ask questions like that without getting attacked (don't worry, I'm not one of them).
People take things too seriously sometimes. They can't seem to think outside of their simple boxes. Sad really.

That you are so nasty and bitter? I can't imagine. Bad childhood?
Oh, and why is it that you are an anti-Semitic idiot? If I were Jesus, I would slap you silly.
