hey, does anyone know the name of that low voiced guy that always narrates those hollywood trailers? As far as I can tell, its always the same guy doing the voice-over of almost every major motion picture.

Don LaFontaine and Hal Douglas do a ton of trailers as well as John Leader, Nick Tate, Mark Elliot and Al Chalk. They are a few voices that do the majority of trailer work in Hollywood.
Each has his own specialty. Go to youtube and search for "5 guys in a limo" and you will get a chance to see all of them in one short promo.
