Gift certificate to music store. Kids this age like $$$$$$$$. Some accessories for his bike. KEEP THE RECEIPTS! If you want something for him to open give him a T-shirt with a funny or weird saying.

It is really up to the individual. I might recommend new technologies like 3G phone (if you are generous enough) or a camera phone. You might even get him a web cam or a new laptop (kinda expensive). I think a mp4 player would be cool too.
If he loves the outdoors, why not get him a pair of rollers? It is a lot of fun! Or a new bicycle.

well, since i did work at toys r us for 3 years, and now im at best buy, i think i would have to say go with a nintendo ds, or wii, or a psp...i see alot of teenage boys coming in wanting that for christmas....or if you want to go the less expensive route, go with an ipod or mp3 player.

depends what the boy likes. My nephew is 14 and he likes to get movies for Christmas. Like Fast and Furious Tokyo drift. He also likes any type of music or music players.

I would say a gadget of some sort, like an MP3 player or video game, maybe even a cell phone.
If he has all of the above then get him a book!
