I live in Brazil, here cigarrets are about 2 Reals.
At the exchange rate of Real at 1 dollar = 2.2 rea,
I supposed that it was about 1 dollar the price of a pack of cigarretes. But it is more expansive, worse is the problem.

It is an expensive, dirty, unhealthy, addictive habit that annoys those around you.

Firstly...where do you find cigarettes for $1.00 a pack in America? LOL What I find interesting, in America at least, is that I pay up to 75% of the price per pack to taxes. It varies state to state, but the very least I have heard is 45% of the cost per pack . So, the average smoker costs the tax payer about $1.10 per pack in health care, and other costs...but contributes about $1.87 per pack. So for every pack of smokes I buy, you non- smokers get about 77 cents. Quite a bargain I'd say.
