Not currently, no.
The ONLY thing that would do this is full Federally recognized, legal SAME SEX MARRIAGE.
Civil Unions don't cut it, domestic partnerships are open to way too much interpretation, and even state same sex marriages aren't fully equal!
ONLY FULL FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED LEGAL SAME SEX MARRIAGE!!!
"Seperate but equal is NEVER Equal!"

Yes. But not the way you mean. Before any laws addressing financial rights for gay couples were a topic, they had exactly the same rights as an UN-married straight couple; all but none. Thus, in areas that have enacted such rights for gays, unless the law is carefully worded to include straight unmarried couples, gays have more rights than the straights.
I'm not complaining. The courts will sort out the injustices of such laws sooner or later. I am just pointing out such laws must be all inclusive to be fair. Simply legalizing gay marriage to correct these injustices would make such discrimination against straights worse.

my gf is worried about that, i have a couple health problems and end up in hospital a bit and shes worried she wont have any say over what happens which i find cute but i know its a serious thing.. ive had my lawyer draw up some papers which are legal saying she has the last say over me if i were to end up nearly dead or on a machine... i dont think there is a law but i think they should make one... i dont understand why people are so against it

Yes there are those laws.but you have to live in my country for those rights.
We are protected by the same laws that apply to straight people.
If or when a gay/lesbian couple get married, they re not the talk of the town.
We can live our lifes here in peace.
Discrimination of any kind is forbidden her by law.
It is high time that you vote for those people who will defend your rights
Greetings from me and have a Merry Christmas.

In South Africa the constitution guarantees the same rights to gays, so you guys in USA should fight for the same.
Good luck.
