i'm suffering from the worst cough right now, and have been for about a week or so...i have a bit of asthma (i say "a bit" cuz its inclinated, so it never really shows up unless i'm sick) and its driving me nuts...i cant even talk without dry coughing...someone please help!!!

Its either an exacerbation of your asthma or bronchitis- pneumonia- you may need a chest x-ray with or without antibiotics- Go see your MD-- it may not be "just a cough"

When I had really bad coughing spells, seemed like the best thing for me was citrus cough drops. Seriously. I suppose they coated my throat a bit; they didn't stink and weren't too bad to the taste.

One thing to consider is should you suppress it? If you are coughing up phlemn, you should not suppress it, that stuff needs to come out. If not, I prefer thera-flu with a cough suppressant.
