What difference between "proceeds" and sales?
and is it completely same?

To me, "proceeds" means the dollars and cents derived from the sales of products while sales means the selling of products; the quantities sold and/or in monetary terms as well. Thus, I do not think that it is completely the same because sales could include "proceeds" whereas "proceeds" could only be a part of sales and not its entirety - the selling as well as quantities are excluded.

Sales Proceed

Proceeds is another way of saying profit. The entire price of the item purchased does not go to the charity, just what the profit would have been. For example, if you buy something for $5 and it cost the company $3 to make, only $2 would go to the charity instead of the entire $5.

Proceeds are basically profits from the sale.
