I have a real Fraser Fir, the absolute best tree on the market. It doesn't loose it's needles, it falls so perfectly it looks like an artificial tree, and it's blue-green colour is really unique.

But if it came down to a choice between a perfect looking artificial tree or a scrawny little Charlie Brown tree, I'd take the Charlie Brown Tree. A really ugly real tree is better than a beautiful fake tree anyday.

I confess I have a fake pre-lit tree!! We always went out, cut down the live tree, all that stuff, then the kids grew up-and there we were (last time) out in the wind and snow looking for a tree (I called em--they was busy), old raggedy Dad and Mom cut a tree, flung it on the bed of the truck, huffed and puffed from walking 20 acres looking for the perfect tree. So the next year Momma went to the local hardware store--saw a great 8 foot pre-lit tree, worked a deal, and brought that sucker home and has had it for 2 years!!!! When they cut the tree, bring it in the house, decorate it, and clean up the needles---they can have a live tree!! !(They keep telling me how great the tree looks!!)

we always go cut down a real tree...however we have been entertaining the idea of buying a fake tree after christmas for those years when (like this one) where all of a sudden its 12 days away and we can't afford or want to spend the 30 or so dollars on one. i truly love the smell of a live one though...and if you keep it watered (daily) the needles don't fall off nearly as much.

Real. Growing up my family always had real trees but for the last few years they were using a sad fake one. It always disappointed me, I missed how nice they are and how great they smell. But this year they got a real one and I am very happy.
