If you got a faint line then Id venture to say that you are pregnant. A line is a line. My tests alwasy were light in the beginning and then after a while they got darker and I was pregnant lol. Light lines still mean pregnant so congrats :P

I had to answer this because I feel like I'm the HPT failure queen! I have tried alot of different brands and have had about half of them fail for me! So don't listen to all that baloney about how they always work and are totally accurate. I had two similar cases myself. The first time I had a bad test - there was a line in the result window that showed negative and no line in the test window (invalid test). I tested again with a generic brand from Walgreens and it was positive I was pregnant. Once I had a miscarriage and it showed a very faint line that didn't show up right away. I miscarried at about 9 weeks. That wasn't a bad test - but even the most sensitive ones can mess up if your hormone level is not normal such as when a miscarriage is inevitable. So, my recommendation is to use a generic Walgreens test and using the kind where you use a dropper to put on exactly the right amount of urine because sometimes with the pee on a stick - you oversaturate it and wash away what should have been a positive result. Forget that one and do another test - make sure it's been at least 2 weeks since you were expecting your period to ensure that if you are pregnant you have optimal hormones in your blood and don't use an ultra sensitive early HPT either because those are the ones that have a higher incidence of reading a very early miscarriage rather than a true positive - that has also happened to me. So if you try my recommendations and they don't work and you get tired of investing into the HPT industry - then go to the doctor - they can do a quantitative test that will tell how much HCG is in your blood and really show if you have a healthy pregnancy going on or not. If you test too early - you can have weird results or a false negative. Always check for an expiration date on the box that you buy to make sure it's not an old test. All the ones I ever took were NOT expired - so if you do use an expired one - it will probably give a false reading.

You aren't suppose to read the results because they will ALL read positive after a long enough period of time. However, if you really say tiny tiny positive, it is positive. You can check it on THEIR websites...if there is a plus, no matter how faint, it means pregnant. If there is two lines, they mean pregnant even if they are faint. But if there is a minus sign or a "not pregnant" or only one line (depending of course on what test you take) you are not pregnant. No matter what it says later on that day. They shouldn't be looked at (I believe) 20 minutes after taking them. They are suppose to show positive then...it is one way to make sure the test worked...you can verifiy this on ALL their websites...the same thing happened to me. Only I was a tiny bit positive...which means positive.

Darlin, pregnant is pregnant, a faint line is usually a positive sign. If you are unsure test again, try to make sure it is the first "go" of the day. The test will read better if you have been sleeping and your body has had time for the hcg hormone to build up in the urinary tract. It will probably be very pink or zip across the window if you try it this way. It also depends on how pregnant you are, weeks ect..The early pregnancy tests can be harder to get a result on, if it is too early wait a week or couple of days. It's not going to "go away" Good Luck

Yes you can miss your period and not be pregnant but I am pregnant with my fourth child and believe me when I say that a line, is a line and it's not gonna show up if you are not producing the pregnancy hormone, hcg. I would say that it is safe to say she is pregnant. I had a few negative results with the current pregnancy in the very beginning, some tests are just more sensitive than others and can pick up the hormone sooner, but I am 14w right now. Good Luck with parenthood!

The tests advise against checking the results after a certain amount of time for a reason.(im not sure what the reason is sorry) If your concerned, make an appointment with your local doctor and get a blood test. Home tests can be unreliable. Your doctor will tell you for sure whats happening, and you wont have to guess. Best of luck!Hope all works out the way you want it to.

It is not true about a line is a line, any line after the time limit on the test should be considered an evaporation line. Your best bet is to get another test and take that. Go to this website and read up on it www.peeonastick.com they will be able to give you answers about reading tests after their time limits and what not. Don't get your hopes up just yet until you take another test. Best of luck to you.

Any faint line even if you can hardly see it is positive & if you were not after hours it will look like a positive. Take another in the morning try clear ble easy digital (no lines just pregnant or not pregnant) and see.
