I'm engaged to a soldier who is currently overseas, and if there is only ONE thing I could send him, it would be a letter telling him how much I love him or a picture of the two of us.

If it were anyone else, I think I would probably be do about the same thing... A letter saying how much I appreciate them and everything they do and maybe a picture of me and my family or something like that so they know who's thinking about them.

I would send a care package, with a lot of the goodies that they liked when they were home, this would be ones that I could send. I had a friend over there and he would beg me to send him talcum powder, and I did.

army undershirts - go to anysoldier.com

a lot of the soldiers need new clothes because they only get so many of each item.

treatsfortroops.com is also a great website if you are interested in sending something to the troops.

A case of silly string. They can have fun with it, and it's used to expose the trip wires those cowardly "insurgents" put everywhere. Merry Christmas, everybody!

A sleeper-bag is the best. It's most comfortably useful to any out-goer (soldiers not excluded too).
