instead of saying
the trees lose their leaves in the fall....
say something like...
the mighty oaks lay a carpet of golden brown on the forest floor as autumn quickly passes.

A vivid adjective is one that brings an image to your mind it is strong and it is almost emotional. instead of lazy try sloth or slovenly. brilliant, passionate, horrific, heart-wrenching, supple. i hope this helps!
