Is this a fashion do or don't, I enjoy wearing my hawaiian shirts every where, BUT SHOCK AND AWE my girlfriend who will go on named does not like them at all, what should do?
I LOVE MY HAWAIIAN SHIRTS.

I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, but if that's what you like, you should continue to wear them. To me, the most important things are cleanliness, and comfort when it comes to clothes. Your girlfriend should care less about your clothes, and more about who's inside of them.

Well Hawaiian shirts are good for summer and also when u go somewhere, u stand out.U can wear it to the beach I'm an Islander and in my Island nearly all the guys wear them its a fashion. U might not know u might bring back the Hawaiian shirt fashion wont it be cool something u can be proud of but just hope u dont wear the same shirt as the other guys.Who cares what other people says, if you're comfortable of what you're wearing go for it.Try wearing it with Hawaiian shorts or board shorts and thongs something different for this summer.

It's not about fashion -- it's about personal style! If you love them, wear them. At least your GF is only griping about your shirts, and not about the fact you never take her anywhere, or you leave your socks in the middle of the living room or stuff like that. If you give in on the shirt issue, she's going to start in on your other habits!
However, if you feel like you can make a compromise (wear Hawaiian shirts as jammies and just on casual summer weekends), this might be a good thing. Just depends on how much you like the girl, I guess. Trading in the shirts for a really wonderful lifemate would be a good bargain. Trust me. Trading in the shirts for endless complaining about new topics would not be a good bargain.

I think you should be allowed to wear what you want to wear, but Hawaiian shirts are old. Maybe compromise and wear plainer shirts half the time and Hawaiian shirts half the time? Maybe limit wearing the Hawaiian shirts to when you aren't going out with your girlfriend?

This is a great question.... Here is one back for you.... did you wear a lot of those shirts with her, before she became your GF? If so she maybe simply in a mood to improve you...and all women do that to their fellas. If not and this is a new fad you may simply have to listen to her,..... at least some of the time.
Think you two need to talk about it. Compromise is the spirit on which relationships are built.
Wear them when the activity is mostly for you, and wear something else at least some time when you are together.
One hint here.....GF's like it when men listen to them.... make a point of telling her you are wearing a different shirt just for her... and see how happy she gets.

Do you honestly believe you have a future with this woman or are you not that seriously involved? I see nothing wrong with Hawaiian shirts as long as they aren't neon colors. Are yours loud or subdued? You could always compromise and wear other plain colored shirts sometimes too, she might even get a charge out of picking them out for you at the store. It never hurts to compromise in a relationship. I do however find myself wondering if she's a control freak.

It was the style about 5 years ago. If you want to wear them save them for the spring / summer months say from may to august. For the record, my husband would not be wearing them.

Sorry, but Hawian shirts are OUT! Since you love wearing them, ho about you throw an annual Lu Out so you have a good excuse to where your shirts. Anything can Have over kill on it. SORRY.
