Say that you fall in love with someone...do you start developing a fetish for people who look like your partner? Do your preferences change?

You can't help but be attracted to tons of people even though you love someone.
I meant are you attracted to people who LOOK like your partner rather than other types. Everyone is physically attracted to more than one person at a given time.

I have heard of this theory before. In fact I knew someone very well and his first love after splitting up with him in later years got married to another man that looked a lot like him. I think it does happen in some cases.
As for me, I have been married twice. The first marriage was an annullment but he was white with brown hair and light brown eyes. Now in my second marriage ( this one is a keeper) my husband is from Indo-Asian background. He has completely opposite features, very dark complected and handsome. I guess some people have a tendency to be attracted to certain looks but to be honest with you I don't think it is a factor for most people.

Love is not about looks!!!! Often physical attraction (looks) is the reason you think you fall in love. However in my experience it took many years to finally understand what love is. Strangely enough after rolling my eyes and thinking yea right when others said it. I came to realize that when you really love someone you find them more attractive than anyone. At least that is how it is for me.

duh? if you LOVE your partner, then what is the reason that you would still be liking other people? so then it's not love.
