Some may say the allies, but the correct answer would be the Triple Entente. That answer is not completely correct, however. The Triple Entente was made up of France, Russia, and Great Britain; France and Great Britain were on the winning side, but Russia had withdrawn for the war before it ended. The Triple Alliance was originally made up of Germany, Italy, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Italy left the alliance and later declared war on the alliance. The Ottoman Empire became the third party of the alliance.
