Legolas Meriadoc- Called Merry, considered by Tolkien to be the most intelligent and the wittiest of the Hobbits. He knew about the one ring before Bilbo even told anyone about it and protected its secret. He is also known for his loyalty and caution. He is 500+ years old. Saruman- The evil Dark Lord that made the One Ring, and has come back to get it. Sauron- Lord of Mordor with a wandering eye that can see nearly all in his lands. Former owner of the one ring to rule them all and the commander of the dark riders, Solomon, and most of the Orcs Theoden- King of Rohan who is possessed by his servant who is under the rule of the White Wizard Solomon. Bilbo Baggins- Bilbo is very secretive, although extremely festive. He is suspected to have something odd about him, for people say he shows signs of “good preservation.” Bilbo was the owner of the one dark ring. Elrond- King of the Elves
