1. Opening paypal is free. So, it would not take much time for you to do so.
2. have you checked your prize authentic or not? if it is genuinely from yahoo, you should communicate with them via email or by phone. I personally think any real offer should be delivered in either way. if it has some catches, then there will be ifs & buts. So, avoid it then.
I would suggest to verify the authenticity of the offer/prize. Then communicate with the authority. thats the best thing to take care of it.

Sounds Bogus to me. Why you need Paypal to get your Prize? But, it your money. Does your email look similar to this, may not be exact;

Why do you need a paypal? If you win a prize, you should not have to pay anything..

Man do not do ANYTHING unless you know that they are good at their word. there are alot of those that will mess you up. if you do do that, you can go to rite aid and get a prepaid rite aid credit card which only costs a couple of dollars. you put your money in it and you can use it for anything you want to. its like a credit card except it has your money in it and you dont have to worry about the credit crap. Just be careful, you never know if it is a scam! good luck and happy holidays!!!!!
