I have a friend who always threathens to use the leagal system to get back at you if you do something wrong. He says that one thing he ahs learned in this country in the 8 years that he is here is to not speak but to "sue " people for money and then they understand things. It presents a difficult situation .
He wants to sue me over a minor issue and I told him he will not win. He says he wants to do it anyways. I have tried to speak to him but he is not listening . He says he has the time and the money to go to court and will get more money if he wins.
WOW, I am just blown away with his attitude. If you hurt him he is so bitter. WHY?????

file a complaint for harassment. Sue back, no threats, just a nice legal action. Check with a lawyer if you might legally use a concealed recorder to gather proof of the threats.

besides the obviouse whooping of his *** tell him to sue you if he wants you dont care he might lose intrest because it dosent affect you anymore. but if he does put a suit on you put a counter claim for harrasment and defamation and rock his world dry ... besides he cant sue for money unless you took money from him or damaged his property he cant sue you for emotional damage if you didnt actualy physicaly touch him otherwise alot of exgirlfriends would be rich out there ... and what kind of friend is that anyway lol

take him on
first hide you assets then appeal appeal appeal then declare bankruptcy, he is only prepared to spend a certain amount, blow his budget ask for delays , ajounments change lawyers half way through , say your going to represent your self them on the day tell teh judge you have changed you mind, run up his costs
more you do your self and more he pays more expensive it gets but delay and delay may be 5 or 6 times then get a lwayer and you will be $15 000 ahead of his costs to start with

Depending on what the "minor issue" is, I wouldn't take him seriously. If he does have a valid claim against you and files a legal complaint, you must answer and defend yourself no matter how stupid you think it is, or he wins. I recommend going to a self-help web site to help you fight him. Try "Be Your Own Lawyer."

1. He is probably bluffing. Has he ever really sued anybody?

2. Why are you still his friend?

3. There really isn't much you can do unless he actually does sue you. Until then, stop dealing with him and move on with your life.
