I've kind of always wondered the same thing. I mean, I get the need for limiting questions, but answers? After all this is "Yahoo Answers". What if I had a really good answer for someone but I couldn't give it because I'm over my limit, you know?

You know, I've frequently pondered this thought. My theory is that maybe they don't want everyone to end up earning a thousand points a day. However, I answer a lot and I've still never gone over.

It is done to reward people who come back and build up bigger and better points through many good questions, and to reduce and thin out the number of people who come on just to B.S. and mess around. Doesn't mean I like it either, but I just presume that's how it is done
