I have been on Nuvaring for the past 7 months. Last week I had my period and I had the ring out. So on Sunday, 3 days ago, I put a new Nuvaring inside. Am I still protected against pregnancy or do i need to use a condom the FIRST WEEK while the Nuvaring is inside? I need to know b/c I had sex yesterday and today and I didnt use a condom but I have my Nuvaring. Thank you

I think you should be fine. I was on it and I didn't have a problem with the ring. I had sex without it in.

As long as you haven't gone longer than a week without a ring you should be perfectly fine. The week off is just like the sugar pills you take for a week on birth control, you're protected all the time even though you're only getting the hormones 3 weeks at a time.
