Well, I am a "philosopher," meaning I am faculty at a university. As far as I know, philosophy is good for doing what I do, and asking if one wants fries with one's burger. :) Some people of course say that you'll get hired at many places with any kind of arts & sciences degree, and they're right. But as far as truly being a philosopher, which means making it your career and devoting your life to it, then...
...a "psychologer" likely makes more money. And I assume you mean "psychologist," one with a Ph.D. in psychology. There is a very large and lucrative field out there in industrial psychology, for example, as well as private practice. With a philosophy degree and no concomitant degree in something like law, you're an academic for the rest of your life (with the extremely limited exception of, say, being on the ethics board of a hospital or some such). And most (though not all) academics are just plain poor.

The philosopher earns wisdom and ire of other ordinary people since ha finds little of value. The psychologist earns a lot insight into human behaviour and fear of others because of his ability to see through behaviour.
To me their earnings are valuable as well as unpalatable ..... i.e. both are rich as well as poor.
Well. in terms of money, I have yet to come across a true philosopher who earns through his philosophy!!
And yes, finally a Ph.D ........ what is that?
Oh yes, doctor of philosophy ....... these degrees are also coined funnily and awarded even more lightly.
OK, then here is the answer to your query.... a Ph.D. in Psychology is more likely to give you a job that pays more money.

They both vary in salary depending on where they are placed for positions. Teaching salaries as a professor of philosophy makes a good living especially with a large University. Psycologists are in number and again if they have a connection with a hospital on staff it varies, and or work as an independent they may get very little.

the in problem-free words philosophers who make money are those who coach at universities, and typically it truly is not because they're good philosophers, yet are able to analyze and post articles. Even those who post many books are not precisely "good" philosophers, when you consider that there are a good type of undesirable books revealed.
