I've heard that there may be a "hetero gene", and that it might be due to an abnormality in the brain. Can heterosexuality be treated?

I've got nothing against heterosexuals, of course: some of my best friends are that way and I love them although their "lifestyle" doesn't seem normal to me. For some of them it's just a phase, but most tell me they've always been that way.
There seem to be lots of theories about what causes homosexuality, but I've never seen any about what causes heterosexuality. Any ideas?

Thats not fair!! Heterosexuality is not some bacterial infection that u treat with a pill or shot. It is a choice, much like those that u yourself have made, and there is nothing to be ashamed of or for someone to try and prevent. That would be like asking of there was a way to prevent bi- and homosexuality. Pretty offensive, huh? There is nothing wrong with the way anyone lives their life if they are not hurting anyone.

I dont' think there are any cure for the heterosexual or homosexual. God just making people different. Maybe He want to know if people love each other no matter if they are different from each other. LIke race and their sexual. Many year ago race is a problem between black and white people. Well, didn't they realize that God want them to be together as brother and sister. But they have to kill each other then finally they realize they can be a family cause black people just like human .. they just have different color skin so it doesn't make them different. NOw it the same thing for gay and lesbian people. They are no different for them either.
even though that gay or lesbian can't make baby it doesn't mean they go against God. Cause if God make them born that way then God will show them a way for having baby. Scientist these day have already find out how they can make baby without a male and a female having sex together to make baby. So isn't that a sign that God gave to people .. tryin to tell them that gay or lesbian people can be normal like everyone else.
beside even though straight people can make baby but they do not take care of their baby that why million and billion of baby and children everywhere in this world doesn't have a parent or family. So if their is a lot of gay or lesbian people in this world couldn't have baby then there wouldn't have many people and they wouldn't have to suffer through life. Just accept everybody no matter if they straight, gay , lesbian , bisexual , transgender, or race .. it just that who they are.. they are all human nothing different..

Finally:one great question.
To turn things up side down.
We get insulted by bigots and bible-slappers on every day's questions here.
What are they doing here any way?
Let them ask their silly questions where they belong:at Polls and surveys.
But let them stay out of here.
Good on you,turning it around.
Greetings:Rob.xxx

I think you mean "homosexual gene". We are meant to be heterosexual, whereas homosexuality is an abnormality in the pituitary gland of the brain, as science has proven it many times.
