#1 Go to fertility friend and read the online "handbook." Though you don't have to chart, it has information about cervical mucous, cervical position, etc. that you can use even if you don't chart.
#2 You could try ovulation test kits. You can get them for $1 a piece at the dollar store/tree. You'll want to keep testing until you find out about when you ovulate each month, so I would suggest 7-10 the first month. Your best testing time is between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Try not to have too much to drink around the two hours before you test until you get the hang of it
#3 Have you ever been told you have a tipped/tilted/retroverted uterus? If you have a tilted uterus, lying on your back will not work, as your uterus doesn't "dip" into the semen pool when lying on your back. You will have to lie on your stomach. Also, any position that normally works for other doesn't work for us (I have a tilted uterus... it's like being left handed. I figured it out and have three girls to show for it). They tell you not to be on top... with a tilted uterus, I got PG with my youngest ON TOP! I knew EXACTLY when I got pregnant... the dr. even bet me on that and guess what? I left the appt after US with $20 in my pocket!
#4 Your best times to conceive are the 5 days before ovulation and day of, but the MOST FERTILE DAYS, are the 2 days before ovulation and THE most fertile day is the day OF ovulation.
#5 Have an orgasm either WITH your partner, or AFTER if you can. When you have the BIG O, apparently you "suck up" those fertile boys!
#6 Usually, after six months to a year of TTC, having a check up is the next step. If you're not PG now, you may have a problem, as 90% of couples will have conceived in a year.
Blessings!

If you've been trying for over a year, it's time to see a Doc. A couple is considered Infertile, after one year of regular unprotected sex, that doesn't result in pregnancy. You may not be ovulating. Or your husband may have Not so healthy sperm. Make an Appointment.. (take it from someone who knows) my husband and i been trying for 14 months, and i had my Doc's Appointment yesterday, and i was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome
OOh and remember, JUST because you are having a period, doesn't mean you are actually ovulating. You should definitely see a doctor, especially if you are over 30. Good luck!
And to all those ppl who say "just relax and it'll happen" You obviously haven't been TTC for over a year! It's not easy to relax, and if you have fertility issues...all the relaxing in the world isn't going to get you anywhere

I totally have to agree with "relax, it will happen" When I was 12 I had these neighbors that were trying to get pregnant. I know this because I happened to be there when they were talking about it with me father. From out of nowhere I said to the couple,"don't stress out over it. Relax and it will happen." (for which I got a good spanking). However. 2 months later the couple was pregnant and came over and thanked me. This was back in the late 60s when these types of issues were not discussed very much. Oh yeah. And all those kits and monitors make baby making a little to scientific and stressfull. Try having good sex often. It really works.

They have ovulation kits right by the preg, test that you can by over the counter now. They might help you calculate when you are ovulating better. The saying goes 14 days from the day you start you should ovulate. But this isnt always true for some women. you might be ovulating later or earlier. Try the 14 days. but also at the same time. Start having sex around day 10 and keep it up untill about day 18. alot of work yes i know. lolol but it worked for me.

Fisrt remember, that all test are not alway right. You may be pregnant just too too early, trust me. I'm 5 months and 4 and half ago it said I wasn't. And if you are ovulating lets say from the 1st to the 20th, it is best to have sex every other day. It takes 24 to 48 hours for his sperm count to go back up, but sperm lives inside you for 3 to 5 days. Best position is from the back. The pillow is okay if you don't have alot of junk in your trunk. Too much cushion or elevation will cause the sperm to sit in a puddle behind your cervix and that wont help you. You can go to ivillage. com and it will help you. Good luck!!!!!

The best thing i can tell you is that when you are ovulating have sex at night and just go ahead and sleep afterward. Don't leave the bed. I tried for almost 4 years and thats what got me pregnant. If your husband is wearing briefs have him switch to boxers so his sperm doesnt get to heated and dies off before sex. Also, if you are even a bit overweight, lose a few pounds and you would be amazed at how much of an effect that can have.

If you don't know exactly when your O day is then you need to get a prediction kit or fertility monitor. You might be surprised when you are really ovulating. I got a Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor and was pregnant the next month. Try to relax and have fun. GOOD LUCK and Best Wishes

I know this is easier said than done, but try to forget about it and it will happen. And what the other poster said about losing a few pounds is right on target. I finally gave up on getting pregnant after 2 years and decided to focus on myself, so I went to a hypnotist to lose weight (very expensive) and I lost 30 pounds and was looking fine and bingo, pregnant. I was the best looking pregnant woman in town. LOL.....I gained those 30 pounds back at least 10 times by now.

Everyone may tell you different ways you can conceive faster, but I think you should just relax and enjoy trying. People who are not even trying end up being pregnant. Don't get stressed out over it, it just makes it worse.
