I really don't know if there is any truth to that belief.

I do, however, think that whatever healing properties the DO possess lie with the faith that a person holds in them.

Belief and faith hold a lot of power over people, and perhaps that is why they hold potential healing/other properties.

If you want a logical or scientific reasoning, there is none. However, people from all over the globe are wearing stones from time immemorial. It is a faith and if it seems to be working in certain cases, you can take those cases as pure coincidence. Don't believe in such things and don't let the stone-seller deceive you. You will do much better if you turn that element of faith on to yourself. You have more power and strength than you can imagine. Cultivate them. Use them.

If you wear the stone because you believe it can solve problems
and can give you some kind of cure, so be it. Having a strong faith makes a person's body to react positively and a possible healing process is being manipulated by your immune system...

The stones themselves have no effect whatsoever, however if one believes in something enough it can have a placebo action which might help. I have spent my whole working life surrounded by precious stones and minerals and if they do have any beneficial effect I should, by now, have the brain of Einstein and the body of Superman. I regret to say that I have neither and there are no signs of them developing at all.

If you like to think so, why not? Can't do any harm.
But personally, I seriously doubt it.
