I've been listening to rap since Rappers Delite first hit the airwaves.(it changed my life)
I can say that right now and for the last seven, eight years or so my favorite has been Jay-Z. Nice to see him back as a rapper but really interested in where he's going as a executive.
But other favorites have been Biggie and Slick Rick(great story telling) And Tupac and Ice cube( the truth of the streets is in the music).

The dead ones because they can no longer hurt my ears with their sorry excuse for what many consider to be "music".

Right now, I'd have to say Nas. That "Hip Hop Is Dead" album is crazy.

Hmm....This isn't really rap, it's actually called grime, but I like Lady Sovereign.

Other than that, I think rap f*ckin' sucks.

Unless it's parody rapping, of course.
