I'm told you can transfer the contract to somebody else. I'm suffering out a three year contract with another year and a half to go. Never again. A year or less next time around or I go without.

dont pay and let them disconnect your line, buy a different sim, dont mind the bills, dont even accept it..tell them that you are living in the states. they wont take the phone they will just disconnect it..but w/ this you cannot apply to the same network cause you already have a bad record their.

Some companies will let it go if the contract holder is dead. (Never tried this one, don't know what, if any, proof they require.

TMobile used to let you out of the contract if you're going overseas for military reasons.
