Sunny weather, being warm, having plenty of time to do things, knowing I have something fun to look forward to, laughing really hard, good smells, getting excited, having a clean house, fresh laundry, exercise, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Nature, wildlife, the pursuit of knowledge and understanding, intellectual debate, sharing my knowledge with others, philosophy "love of wisdom", animal friendships, with dogs, cats etc., imagination and curiosity, viewing beautiful natural phenomenon such as auroras, sunsets, eclipses, meteor showers, and even the patterns of frost or snowflakes. The way I see it happiness from material gain is fleeting and does not last but happiness derived from things we can never really own is forever....

"Not everything that can be counted - counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Albert Einstein

"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich." Louis Sabin

"Happiness resides not in possessions and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul." Democritus

The happiness in one's voice on the other end of the phone when they realize it's me. The softness in one's voice when they tell me it's going to be okay. The rush I feel when I am around a person I am interested in. The smile and honesty from someone who told me I made a big difference in their well being-it's the sole reason I am in this career. ABOVE and BEYOND all these, Is the knowledge that GOD loves me. That He hears me somehow, and that He will send evidence soon.

My daughter asking me for my help even when she doesn't need it. Her telling me everything about her friends, knowing that she can trust me and that I won't put her or them down. How, when she isn't home, she checks in every two hours whether asked or not.
